Reach trucks

The agility and small outer dimensions of a reach truck make it ideal for operating in narrow aisles. The average required aisle width for a reach truck is 2.4 metres. In comparison, a counterbalance forklift truck with the same lft capacity usually requires a width of at least 3.7 metres. Reach trucks are available with lift heights of over 10 metres allowing the warehouse's height be fully utilized. Reach trucks can be equipped with fork attachments for efficient operating. Some models have a tilting cabin helping the operator view the load when it is lifted high. The reach truck's tyre size and ground clearance limit its operating environment and they are mostly used indoors on smooth floors. However, there are reach trucks with pneumatic treaded tyres and increased ground clearance available.
